FISH ROLL RECIPE

Chinese Fish Roll recipe

 

500 g (1 lb.) bream fillets (or

other fillets)

2 eggs

2 shallots

1-teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon sugar

1-teaspoon corn flour

Pepper

Oil for frying 

Lightly beat eggs with fork.

Heat oil in frying pan, add half the egg mixture and swirl in pan to coat base of pan evenly.

Loosen edges of pancake, turn and cook other side.

Repeat with the other half of the egg mixture for second pancake.

Remove skin and bones from fish and chop the fish very finely.

Add finely chopped shallots, salt, sugar, corn flour and pepper to the fish and stir until well combined.

Spread the fish mixture evenly over each pancake.

Roll up each pancake firmly.

With the joined side facing down, place the rolls on plate; cover the plate and steam over boiling water for 15 minutes.

Cut into diagonal slices to serve.

Serves 4.
