WITH BACON DRESSING RECIPE

small cabbage

rashers bacon

onion

cup low calorie French dressing

tablespoons vinegar

celery seeds

green pepper

red pepper
Cut
the bacon rashers into small pieces and cook in heated pan with finely chopped
onion until the onion has softened then drain off any fat.
Stir
in the French dressing, vinegar, sugar, celery seed and salt.
Combine
shredded cabbage and chopped peppers into a bowl and mix well.
Pour
over the dressing and mix lightly.
Serve
at once or chill and serve cold.

1-teaspoon
gelatine

teaspoons cold water
1/4-cup
hot water
¾
teaspoon salt

tablespoons lemon juice

Pinch
dry mustard

clove crushed garlic
1-teaspoon
finely chopped onion
1-teaspoon
sugar
Soften
the gelatine in cold water, add hot water and stir to dissolve gelatine then
cool.
Combine
lemon juice, salt, pepper, mustard, garlic, onion and sugar.
Add
to the gelatine then pour the mixture into a screw-top jar, shake well and
refrigerate.
Remove
from refrigerator and leave at room temperature for at least 1 hour before
serving.
Then
Shake well again.
Makes
about 1 cup dressing.
