CHICKEN
PAPRIKA RECIPE

kg (3 lb.) chicken pieces
Salt,
pepper
60
g (2 oz.) butter

onions

small green pepper
1-tablespoon
paprika
1
tomato
1-tablespoon
tomato paste
1-cup
water
1
chicken stock cube
½
cup sour cream
Season
the chicken with salt arid pepper.
Melt
butter in large pan and add the chicken pieces.
Cook
until golden brown on both sides.
Add
finely chopped onions, pepper, paprika and peeled, finely chopped tomato.
Continue
cooking while covered until the vegetables and chicken are tender.
Remove
the chicken from pan and keep it hot.
Add
tomato paste, water and stock cube to the pan and blend well.
Strain
the mixture and press the vegetables through a sieve as much as possible –
then return the liquid to the heat and add the chicken.
Bring
to the boil then reduce heat.
Add
sour cream and reheat without boiling.
Season
with salt and pepper.
